About

Regular visitors to my blog soon notice that it has no focus. One day, I’m talking about religion, the next I’m talking about publishing or global warming or the Middle East. With such a lack of focus, I’m probably not going to draw much traffic from search engines, but that’s not really the point.

The main purpose of this blog is that it keeps me writing. One thing I have learned in my over 20 years as a professional writer is that writing begets writing. The only time you run out of things to write about is when you stop writing - it’s not the other way around as most people would think. You don’t stop writing because you’ve run out of things to write about. You run out of things to write about because you’ve stopped writing. The source is infinite - you just need to tap into it and keep the flow going.

I contribute to other Web sites and blogs. I have a blog specifically devoted to computer topics at ComputerChimp.com, co-host the Bipolar Blog with Dr. Candida Fink, and co-manage a food allergy website (DrRobertWood.com) with food allergy specialist Dr. Robert Wood. I also occasionally assist in writing posts or articles for GetFlipping.com (about flipping houses and investing in foreclosures), ForeclosureSelfDefense.com (about saving your home, equity, and credit from foreclosure), and FlippingFrenzy.com (about real estate and mortgage fraud).

This blog is a less formal, less focused area where I can write about anything I want - something I rarely get to do as a “professional” writer - and obtain feedback from others who share my interests. This keeps the flow going when I don’t feel like writing for money, enables me to gather information and insights from lots of interesting people, and allows me to test my ideas and opinions in an open forum (and hopefully grow as a result).

I hope you enjoy the blog.
