Zorg and Andy is a comedy about love, duty, and sacrifice… human sacrifice. It’s a little bawdy – plenty of phallic symbols, a couple sex cults, that sort of thing – but not vulgar like, say American Pie. It’s definitely inappropriate for young children or prudes of any age.

The movie is a little over an hour long and is surprisingly professional for an indie film, not that I’m all that familiar with indie films, but it’s not jerky like some of the amateur flicks I’ve seen. The acting is also excellent. I especially enjoyed the performance of the female lead (Jen Wilkens as Colette), although I’m partial to The Pig… him being my son (Nick Kraynak) and all.

“Why is this so important?” You ask. Well, one reason is because my son, Nick, is making his screen debut in this movie, as “The Pig.” Another reason is because you’ll see me and my lovely wife there (the day before our 25th Wedding Anniversary!). And a third reason, is because this movie is going to be way too cool to miss… not that I’ve actually seen it or anything, but I have watched the trailer (see below), and this movie has all the essentials to make it a blockbuster – sex, violence, humor, horror, and… a pig. Hey, just look at how successful Green Acres was. Arnold Ziffel, you got nothing on my boy!

B movies are big in Indiana – so big, in fact, that the state is hosting its 3rd Annual B-Movie Celebration, running from September 25th through the 27th at the historic Artcraft Theater in Franklin, IN, and at the Strand Theater in Shelbyville. Advance tickets are available here.

In case you’re wondering, Nick is the one in the pig head near the end of the trailer. I find it a little surprising, though - I’ve always considered him more bull headed than pig headed.
