I keep getting solicitations and offers to join AARP, since I am the same age as you lovely wife -So far I’ve resisted I’m going to stomp my feet and say – I won’t grow up, I won’t grow up I won’t grow up – because I always thought AARP was an acronym for Already Approaching Resting in Peace

24?! Soon, they’ll be issuing membership cards at the same time the feds give newborns their social security cards.

If it makes you feel better, I was sent an application to join, along with a temporary membership card, when I was 24. I still carry that temporary membership card they gave me just so I can tell people I’m a “card carrying member” of the AARP.
